Cutter Maintenance:

When you notice the shredder is experiencing difficulty shredding, or gets jammed easily, then it's probably time to oil. If you use your shredder occasionally, then oiling your shredder may only be necessary every two months to maintain good performance. If you use your shredder a lot, however, then your best practices are to oil your shredder every time you empty the waste bin. Get your shredder lubricants by clicking here.

A: This C209-D shredder can shred credit cards (one at a single pass).

Q: If unit stops & no red light How long before it can be used again?

A: This shredder is equipped with a motor overheating protection and cooling system, if the unit keeps shredding over its maximum continuous 4 minutes running time and become overheated to stop working, please don't pull out the paper you are shredding, just shut off the machine and let it cool down about 40 minutes, it will return to work again.

Q: Does this shredder need those lubricant sheets or oil?

A: To prolong its lifetime, we recommend to lubricate the shredder with professional shredder lubricant sheets or oil once every 30-minutes of accumulative shredding or at least twice a month. If you use the shredder lubricant sheet to lubricate the machine, please insert it into the paper entry and shred it like shredding normal paper.

Easy set up

I bought this because I have lots of papers and junk mail to shred. This was a good size paper shredder for the apartment I live it so I am happy with the product. It's not extremely noisey but sound is different for most everyone. If you're looking for a paper shredder, this would be a good one to consider!
