If you use your shredder occasionally, then oiling your shredder may only be necessary every two months to maintain good performance. A: Yes, the wastebin can be taken out completely to empty the paper scraps, very convenient.
Q: Does it have any problem shredding credit cards or paper clips?

Shredder does a great job shredding, ran for a long time and never overheated. The only issue I experienced was with the storage bin. When removed to dump had issues with getting the shredder to turn back on. Had to “jiggle” the bin to get shredder to turn back on. Once I figured that out was able to start it each time.
