Cutter Maintenance:

When you notice the shredder is experiencing difficulty shredding, or gets jammed easily, then it's probably time to oil. If you use your shredder occasionally, then oiling your shredder may only be necessary every two months to maintain good performance. If you use your shredder a lot, however, then your best practices are to oil your shredder every time you empty the waste bin. Get your shredder lubricants by clicking here.

Questions & Answer

Q: Can you put a credit card or cd through the paper slot rather than the card/cd slot for smaller pieces? will it cause a problem?

A: We suggest that you have better not put CDs or credit cards in the paper slot to shred. Because it may damage the cutter.


Q: Is the basket for the micro-cut paper removable for easy dumping?

A: Yes, it is a pull-out wastebasket and it is easy to removable and dump the scraps of paper.


Q: Do the machine blades require oiling? What method/oil is recommended by Bonsaii?

A: Yes, in order to prolong its lifetime, we recommend to lubricate the shredder with professional shredder lubricant sheet or oil once every 30-minutes of accumulative shredding or at least twice a month.
