Let each bunch of papers clear before inserting more.
In the beginning the paper kept getting stuck. I thught I was putting in too mnay sheets at a time. I knew it was suppossed to take up to 12 at a time. Then it occurred to me that perhaps I was feeding it too fast so that it didnt have a chance to clear before I put more in. Now it works like a charm. It cuts so small that no one can decipher anything in the pieces. It will run for 30 minutes before it has to cool off which is great for large amounts of shredding One thing that I didn't like was it was awkward to put together because it was top heavy and the three pieces had to be perfectly together before I could balance the cutter. No problems now with the shredder. I love it!
