When you notice the shredder is experiencing difficulty shredding, or gets jammed easily, then it's probably time to oil. If you use your shredder occasionally, then oiling your shredder may only be necessary every two months to maintain good performance. This shredder is very quiteand fast.

What I was most concerned with was run time. I had another shredder that would run for 15 minutes before overheating. I would then have to wait for at least 20 minutes before it could be used again. This was useless if shredding numerous papers. The Bonsaii worked as advertised. It lasted for at least 2 hours.

I was concerned ordering after reading reviews of shredder conking out soon after purchasing… I realize this is a home shredder, not commercial, and realistic with the time and volume of use. Initially had a pile to shred, but divided task over a couple days and ran small stacks through… no problems. Easily handles the small daily runs and an old credit card or two. Just hope it lasts

The unit has been only lightly used but has functioned well and is relatively quiet. Having fed up to eight sheets into it did not seem to slowdown the shredding speed. I subtracted 1 star because the wheels only allow left to right rolling, not front to back. If the wheels swiveled, then the shredder could be rolled in any direction and I would give it 5 stars.
